Making a Living on the Road - Coaching, Real Estate & More!
Many people ask us how we’re able to sustain a decent living while being completely mobile. This is something Ty and I gave a lot of thought to before we set off last summer.

Fortunately, we both have a great deal of flexibility in our chosen careers. But, I hear from people around the world who would love to be in a position to leave their regular job and find a way to generate income while traveling. It can be done!
As a relationship coach and marketing consultant, 99% of my work is conducted over the phone and internet. I admit, it did take quite a bit of research and testing to set up the ideal mobile office and workweek.
And, as I talked about here, we were greatly inspired by Tim Ferris, author of The Four Hour Workweek.
A friend of mine recently introduced me to a great opportunity that I thought I’d pass along to you. If you’ve ever thought about being a coach - or maybe you’re a coach already and looking to build your practice - this could be for you:
It’s an invitation to check out a new Health Coach Business Program created by the folks at Hilton Johnson Productions, Inc. (If you’re not familiar with HJP, they’re a well-respected training company specializing in training entrepreneurs for the past ten years.)
You can attend a free 90-minute teleconference and web tour on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 11:00am PST / 2:00pm EST.
This is a two-part teleconference/web tour, and you must be on a PC and telephone at the same time. To register for *BOTH* parts of the presentation, click on each of the following links:

Do let me know if you check it out! I enjoyed several years as a Success Coach for T. Harv Eker and the experience (and money!) I gained was exceptional.
Meantime, Ty busies himself with real estate investing. He’s currently attending the Real Wealth Expo in San Diego, followed by Bruce Norris’ Essentials workshop.
We’re also enjoying learning from real estate expert, Charissa Cawley. She created a whole system for successful real estate investing - primarily using the internet!!
Charissa was also greatly inspired by The Four Hour Workweek - Tim highly recommends hiring Virtual Assistants in India. Sure enough, this is what Charissa set up. She has a whole team, including one gal with an MBA who only charges - get this - $2USD per hour. Amazing, huh! This gal does all kinds of key financial analysis on properties, and Charissa says she frequently gives her MBA VA lots of bonuses. I’ll say!!
Ty and I are looking to increase our real estate pursuits this year. It’s an interesting market just now, but there are certain areas that haven’t been all that affected by the softening economy. We’ll keep you posted.
What are your thoughts on making money while being fully mobile?

I’m almost envious that I can’t just be that free.
January 12th, 2008 at 3:03 pmInteresting blog here–thanks for following my tweets. I would love to be able to go ‘anywhere’ so I could be home more often.
February 24th, 2008 at 11:05 amRegarless of the type of real estate investing you are considering doing. Based on my 6 years of investing experience, people who are educated in the investing process and understand investing strategies are the most successful. I came across some free investment strategy videos and this ebook that I thought would be cool to share with everyone. You can download it at http://www.SamBell3rd.com . Happy investing and I hope this resource is a benefit for you.
March 6th, 2008 at 12:21 pmYou guys travel…ALL THE TIME? Wow!
I’m a real estate investing guy also, but I really need to learn how to be less hands on so I can be more mobile.
I actually know Charrissa Cawley, who you mentioned above. Great gal. I’ll be doing an interview with her soon for my blog. I’ll have to see if I can steal her Indian resource!
Thanks for an interesting read!
