Taking A Break From Motorhome Living… With Tony Robbins And Friends!

The past ten days have been a total whirlwind of activity. While Ty spent the week at our mountain property in Twin Peaks working on a major remodel project… I’ve played a lot and worked a little! LOL

Mostly, I enjoyed hanging out with my dear friend Carol Dysart at her home in La Jolla. It was such a treat to be in a ‘regular’ house for a while. Much as I LOVE my motorhome - as I talked about here - it was a whole different experience being back in a big 3-bed, 3-bath home.
I’d wake up in the morning and feel the bigger space around me. And, I appreciated simple pleasures like regular plumbing (read: toilet!), and much faster internet connection. (I thought my Verizon aircard was decent, and the free wi-fi at most RV Parks is fast. But nothing beats DSL… especially for a heavy user like me!)
PLUS, Carol and I managed to score VIP tickets to attend a mega event with Tony Robbins on Saturday. Other speakers included John Assaraf, Ken Blanchard, Rev. Michael Beckwith and Lisa Nichols. The event was called The Secret to Having Your Best Year Ever and attracted 10,000 attendees!! This was a special benefit for The Jenna Druck Foundation. Plus, it was Ty’s birthday and we celebrated with a visit to The Bodies exhibit today - I saw it already last year, but this was Ty’s first visit. It’s such an incredible experience to witness the miracle of the human body in such detail!!
Tonight, we enjoyed dinner out with friends, Stacy and Gary Gil. Gary is Founder and CEO of Podclass.com - an incredible platform which combines social networking with sharing knowledge through online classes and video podcasts!
This week, Ty and I are off to (yet another!!!) seminar - this one is on real estate investing by Mike Watson.

Our current plans are to head out of San Diego on January 30th… whew, I think we need to hit the road again for a rest!!

Mari - I know how you feel about the big house. When we returned from our year long trip, I can remember sitting in the living room, looking around and thinking, “What do I need all this space and stuff for? I have been perfectly happy for a whole year in a 19′ motorhome!” The experience has actually made us better consumers. We don’t buy nearly as much “stuff” as we used to. We tend to spend our money more on “doing” and not so much on “buying”.
