Take your time and make sure to have lots of play time. I've driven across the US many times and it always annoys me when people think there are 200-mile stretches with no gasoline. However, I guess I've always thought that about driving to Alaska, so I'm curious what the situation's like. Work-life balance? What's that? If you love what you do, it's more work to not-work. Read? Movies? Learn a new language/mathematics skill/programming language so you have something else to focus on? What kind of gas station availability is there on this route?
