Snow, Scottish Dancing, & Facebook Friends

Sunday, den 2. December 2007

As Ty backed the car out of my dad’s drive this morning, the car started skidding all over the place. I had to get out and push her up the drive. Hee hee - that would’ve been a good video clip!
Then, it took us four-and-a-half hours to drive a mere 124 miles. The snow [...]

Playing Tourist. Meeting Locals.

Wednesday, den 28. November 2007

Each new town we visit, Ty and I like to get a feel for the place through the eyes of the locals, as well as tour the points of particular interest.
As a real estate investor, Ty loves hunting for deals. (And amasses a huge amount of property propaganda on the RV, much to my [...]

He Says, She Says: Road Trip Planning

Monday, den 19. November 2007

When we first embarked on the mobile lifestyle, a close friend of ours told us she thought Ty and I would either end up closer together than ever before… OR we’d end up killing each other. Okay, obviously not literally, but you catch the drift, eh? LOL

Bear Alert, World’s Biggest Tree, and Boondocking!

Friday, den 19. October 2007

We’re deep in the heart of the Sequoias here. (Okay, I’m posting this from the foothills before heading back up into them thar hills!)

We spotted this little guy at the road’s edge the other day. Cute, eh? He looked so cuddly and tame. Hmm, best not to get too close though.
This is major bear land. [...]

Las Vegas RV Parks - What NOT To Do!

Wednesday, den 3. October 2007

Ty and I drove our motorhome the 284 miles from Desert Hot Springs, CA and arrived safely in Las Vegas, NV around 8:30pm tonight.
At least that part went well! (Here’s a pic of ME in the driver’s seat - yep, I took my turn driving our big whopping 34 footer RV complete with Honda CR-V [...]
