Our Map
Click on any of the little blue “motorhome” icons to see where we’ve been (along with extra narrative by Mari!). Other icons may indicate different activities - click on them for more info. This is a fully functional Google map - click and move any way you like. Zoom in/out. Have fun!
Click the blue lines to see the routes we’ve driven. The feet sticking out the RV window (our signature image) is to show you where we are NOW!
Here’s our Alaska journey so far:
This map shows all our travels from mid-December 2007 through end May 2008 when we entered Alaska. Mostly, we hung around Southern California for the first four months of this year.
Friends and Places to Visit
Here’s our map of Friends and Locations to visit across the USA and Canada. Let me know if you’d like us to add you!
US States We’ve Visited So Far
States we’ve visited in our motorhome. (As a native San Diegan, Ty has visited most all of the States over the years. However, as a transplant from Canada and Scotland in 1999, Mari has not yet visited that many States).
This map shows the States we’ve physically traveled to in our motorhome so far:
Our 2008 plans… for now!
Many friends and contacts have asked if we’re just going to stay on the West Coast. For the record, we’re planning to travel around the entire United States and Canada… eventually!
When Ty and I first discussed the idea of going completely mobile in July 2007 (see Our Story), Ty expressed a strong desire to travel to Alaska. His parents had lived there in the late 1940’s and Ty has never been there himself (neither have I).
Summer is the best time to visit Alaska, so we begun our slow trek north in May and arrived in Ketchikan, Alaska on May 31st. We plan to tour around Alaska for the entire Summer: June, July & August!
2007-8 Travels
This is a map of our 2007 travels.
We spent July and August ‘07 at Santee Lake Recreation Preserve in San Diego County while tying up all the loose ends of our complete downsize. Then we enjoyed three months on the road from Sept-Dec ‘07 traveling the west up and back. Then returned to San Diego for the holidays and into the new year for seminars.
Feb 10, ‘08, we finally got back on the road. We enjoyed exploring various lake front RV parks around Lake Elsinore, Riverside, Lake Skinner, Reflection Lake - all fairly equidistant between San Diego and our investment properties in Riverside/San Bernardino and up in Twin Peaks.
Tell us where YOU are and make any recommendations for what we should see on our travels!!
